Twilight

Hey! It’s Amy again,
And I am going to tell you about an upcoming film which is being made from an international bestselling book by the same name and the author called Stephanie Meyer.

First I am going to tell you that I am currently reading the third book Eclipse in the four book saga and I am completely enthralled by it and I have never read a book so quick in my life like I have with these. Before I start the proper review of the main aspects of this I.E. the book, film and the band behind the song for the film soundtrack I am going to say all people that love a good vampire and werewolf book should acquire these immediately.

I first found about this book from a librarian friend of mine called Meg and I am so happy that she told me about them anyway thanks Meg.

The book is about a young girl called Isabella Swan who moves to Forks; Washington to live with her father Charlie after her mother Renee is still up in Phoenix, Arizona with her fiancé Phil who she married. When Bella hits Forks and starts high school she meets new friends Jessica, Angela and Mike. At lunch time she notices a table at the back of the dinner hall which is occupied by a strange family of four who had full trays of food but didn’t touch a thing.

Bella finally gets to meet and greet one of the Cullen’s family members by the name of Edward who has a secret far beyond her expectations and she falls for him as he falls for her. From the time they start talking is the time everything for Bella changes dramatically. Edwards secret is that he is a vampire who can reads minds and when Bella finds out that not only does she want to spend eternity with Edward she also wants to become a vampire to make sure that happens.

This is an epic story of love and romance and is gripping from the beginning to the every end.

The saga is as follows-

Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse
Breaking Dawn

From the spectacular novel they are currently making a film to compliment this fantastic book by the same name Twilight.

The story line for the film is exactly the same as the book (which I am very pleased with as it would not be right if it had changed) and now for this section I am going to show the different ideas they had for the film poster and the cast list for the film.

These are the different film posters that they where looking at.

I believe that they have made the best decisions for the cast list and it will make the characters of the book come alive immensely. I got the information for the film from-

(The names of the characters they play are underneath the actors/actresses names)

Now for the final part of my Twilight review is of the band who have made a song for the soundtrack to the film with a music video called ‘Decode’ the amazing Paramore.

For a look at the video visit the official Pararmore website which is as follows-

This is a photo of the band which has made the video Decode for the new up and coming film Twilight.

Manga Art, Books and TV series

Manga Art, Books and TV series

Hi it’s Amy again back to tell you this time about Manga and its many forms. The first thing I am going to introduce is a few websites where to find out about the series on TV.

One of the websites I have found out that helps with a specific channel on Sky is called http://www.animecentral.com/ , which is also the name of the channel. This is where they show different series’ from beginning to end, this also helps you find out how far through the series it is and what time and specific program is on.

This is a screen grab of the website home page. As you can see there are a number of different links to help you find out News, What’s On, Series, Reviews,
Competitions, Forum and Register. Another handy thing is, is that it gives you the channel number on which to watch the programs.

Another website I have figured out is called http://www.tokyopop.com/ I knew about this website from a friend of mine. This site is very similar except you can see art work of the characters, read blogs, read articles and lots of other interesting stuff.

As you can see I have taken another screen grab to show the home page of the website. The top bar gives you 5 main categories to choose from; Manga + Comics, Video, People, Art + Life and Shop. These also have another set of links so you can choose a specific thing you want to look at.
This site has also changed old classic films such as Ghostbusters into a Manga series.

Book Reviews

Hi my name is Amy and I am just giving you an insight into what I like doing in my spare time.
Reading is one of them so here I go, there are some book reviews from amazing books I have both read and haven’t and are itching to read well hope you enjoy.

I am going to review a mixture of books from fantasy and fiction to cooking and biographies.

The first book I am going to review is a new book by Darren Shan called Wolf Island.

Wolf Island is the eighth book from the Demonata saga.

The Demonata saga is about a boy called Grubbs Grady and within his family (the Grady’s) they may carry a certain gene within their body to transform them into a werewolf on the full moon once every month and he finds out that he can go into a demon world called the Demonata by connecting lights he sees floating about in front of him. Throughout the saga he meets new friends and formidable foes the main one of which is called Lord Loss with his familiars Vein and Artery.

In this edition of the saga Grubbs Grady spots werewolves as he and his companions skim the treetops. Grubbs comes across some old acquaintances called The Lambs who seek and destroy anyone carrying the werewolf gene. This time around the curse of the Grady’s comes back with vengeance and the werewolves are on the loose and are hungry.

The second book I am going to review is called Demon Seed by Dean R Koontz.

Dean Koontz is known very well for his thriller writing and for his books being transformed into films such as Demon Seed and Hideaway.

In this book the demon seed is known as Adam 2. This is about a self-aware machine what is put into the house of Susan Harris to become her house servant, but he has something else in mind for the two of them. Adam 2 is intelligent enough that he plans on having a child with Susan Harris even though he is only a machine which is stationed in the basement of her house where she is lured to start the pregnancy process.

This book is an exceptionally good read and is gripping from the very beginning. All those people who are into reading thrillers with amazing plots and twists should delve into this as you will never put the book down.

Now from the thriller to a nice and relaxing cooking book by a well known female Chinese chef Ching-he-huang.

In her Chinese Food Made Easy cooking book she helps people of all ages and ethnic origins to cook simple delicious dishes. Ching goes through all the different type of ingredients used to make these wonderful meals and tells you how to cook them in minutes. There was also a cooking program on TV also by the name of Chinese Food Made Easy. This is where she not just told you how to make the dishes but shows you how to make and present the dishes as well.

Well people i'm out.
