Hi my name is Amy and I am just giving you an insight into what I like doing in my spare time.
Reading is one of them so here I go, there are some book reviews from amazing books I have both read and haven’t and are itching to read well hope you enjoy.
I am going to review a mixture of books from fantasy and fiction to cooking and biographies.
The first book I am going to review is a new book by Darren Shan called Wolf Island.
Wolf Island is the eighth book from the Demonata saga.
The Demonata saga is about a boy called Grubbs Grady and within his family (the Grady’s) they may carry a certain gene within their body to transform them into a werewolf on the full moon once every month and he finds out that he can go into a demon world called the Demonata by connecting lights he sees floating about in front of him. Throughout the saga he meets new friends and formidable foes the main one of which is called Lord Loss with his familiars Vein and Artery.
In this edition of the saga Grubbs Grady spots werewolves as he and his companions skim the treetops. Grubbs comes across some old acquaintances called The Lambs who seek and destroy anyone carrying the werewolf gene. This time around the curse of the Grady’s comes back with vengeance and the werewolves are on the loose and are hungry.
The second book I am going to review is called Demon Seed by Dean R Koontz.
Dean Koontz is known very well for his thriller writing and for his books being transformed into films such as Demon Seed and Hideaway.
In this book the demon seed is known as Adam 2. This is about a self-aware machine what is put into the house of Susan Harris to become her house servant, but he has something else in mind for the two of them. Adam 2 is intelligent enough that he plans on having a child with Susan Harris even though he is only a machine which is stationed in the basement of her house where she is lured to start the pregnancy process.
This book is an exceptionally good read and is gripping from the very beginning. All those people who are into reading thrillers with amazing plots and twists should delve into this as you will never put the book down.
Now from the thriller to a nice and relaxing cooking book by a well known female Chinese chef Ching-he-huang.
In her Chinese Food Made Easy cooking book she helps people of all ages and ethnic origins to cook simple delicious dishes. Ching goes through all the different type of ingredients used to make these wonderful meals and tells you how to cook them in minutes. There was also a cooking program on TV also by the name of Chinese Food Made Easy. This is where she not just told you how to make the dishes but shows you how to make and present the dishes as well.
Well people i'm out.
SEE YA!
